Morning , Happy World cardmaking day to you all! This is gonna be a long post so please grab a cupper!

First of all i would like to share with you my Sketch Saturday and Sweet Stampin Card using the new Gorgeous Elisabeth Bell 'First leaf of Fall' stamp. As usual i have followed Jo's wonderful sketch and this weeks challenge over Sweet Stampin is ' Punch it out'

I have used various Stampin Up circle punches and the SU distressing tool to make the flowers.
D/P is DCWV. I have stamped the leafs several times as though they are being wind swept.

My favourite tips:

I have had alot of emails asking me for tips regarding Sewing onto cards. So my top tip for getting a nice straight sewn edge that joins up from corner to corner is this.

Poke a hole in each corner of the c/s you would like to sew onto.

As you get to the end of the c/s position the needle to go through the pierced hole,(so you don't go over where you want it) , that's how I make sure my stitching is straight and meets up at each corner.

My other top tip would be Distressing, this is also a common question.
What do I use?
The simplest way to achieve great distressing is to use the side of your Hobby knife, scrap it against the card until you have your desired distress look. OR the Stampin Up distressing tool attached to the cutter kit is also a fabulous investment to achieve perfect distressing every time!

Missing in Action and our last Quixotic weekly challenge

Goodmorning all, well it seems so long ago when i last posted on here. Nearly 2 weeks! I will cut this story short. Im at work and had the phone call from my Son's school to say that he had been poorly and could i pick him up. On my way to the school a (silly) driver over took two cyclists on a blind bend!!! just as i was coming round on the opposite side of the road, in order not to hit him I swerved out of the way and went into a shallow ditch, The car isn't too bad although it had to be sent away for almost a week for repairs. My back has been in agony but is allot better now. Jack is over he's tummy bug but was off school all week. I think things will resume to normal now although i have alot of catching up to do.

Hi! Apart from being the first day of the weekend its also time for a Sketch Saturday and Sweet Stampin challenge. Remember you can combine the two challenges, so why not join us this week with Jo's fabulous sketch and our Sweet Stampin Theme ' Stitching'. I had a little time this week so i made a DT card for challenge. (Yes i know, dont fall over in shock) Lol Im also so in love with Hanglar and Tilda at the moment. We are off out today to choose Tiles for the down Stairs bathroom and then on to choose our new balustrade that's also being redone. I have to say, although i will love it when the house is finished, i cannot stand the mess, and the dust is just unbelievable!

Ok, onto my Sweet Stampin card, I decided to go with easel cards this week, our theme is 'Stitching'

Good Morning and happy Saturday! Today is a new Sketch Saturday challenge and as always Jo has designed an amazing sketch for us all to work with. Remember i said how Ive fallen in love again with Hanglar and Magnolia, well todays card is using a gorgeous Tilda image from the Bon Voyage collection which you can buy right now from our Sponsor Simon Says stamp

I had so much fun making this card, yes it took me 5 hours again lol but it was worth it in the end. Ive has a bottle of crackle glass for about 2 years and never got round to using it, So when I saw the challenge at Just Magnolia and the gorgeous DT work I thought i'ld give it ago. I love the effect especially with this magnolia collection of stamps and as i missed the challenge date to enter my card I found it also fits in with the challenge over at Charisma Cardz 'try something new'

Making a start on Christmas

Happy Saturday! Today were off to Sutton Park today for an adventure, a few mile walk and feed the duck's. My weight loss hasn't exactly gone to plan and the stone I lossed has come back to say hello! so lots of outings are in order to get me back into shape.

The repairs on my house are coming along nicely, no more water feature or holes in walls and ceilings, but the horrible smell of plaster...yuk, and the dust......my goodness, you cant get rid if the dust!

The other day i reached 500 followers! Yeah..... i got so excited and thought awww i really do love blog land and all the wonderful friends i have made. THEN someone dropped off my followers, do I smell??? Lol

Another lovely lady has taken place now so i am once again upto 500 followers. Im collecting goodies for a HUGE blog candy which all should be ready for next week so keep em peeled : )

Right well i think that's enough babbling for one Saturday morning, Today i have two cards to share with you, first up is my DT card for Sketch Saturday. Quixotic Challenge colour combo

Hey all! Im back today with a new Quixotic Challenge to temp you all! Over at Quixotic Challenge Simone has challenge us to make a card using only Black, White plus one other colour. Well, my fav colour combo has to be Black, White and Pink. Ever since seeing Kim's gorgeous work of art here I just had to give it ago as blending Blacks with my Copic's with certainly my downfall. With practise and 4 Anya's later I'm pleased to say that im happy with the result.

Before i show you my card I would just like to say a HUGE HUGE thank you to all you lovely's for visiting me and leaving me such sweet comments, Yesterday my Followers reached 500 people! Hey gang! Ive got a confession to make this morning, Im addicted to Hanglar and Magnolia! This week ive coloured up quite a few. I used to LOVE Tilda when they first came onto the scene and then just got board of them. I didn't like Hanglar stamps at all!!! but they sure have grown on me now. Good morning peeps, Today is the start of a new Quixotic challenge. Kim Dellow chose our challenge this week, Shiny Happy People.......You could add glitter, gloss, gems, whatever you like really.

I tried to do something a bit different for me, a glitter shaker style card! Shaker cards have been around for donkeys years but ive never done one. Unfortunately because of all the glitter & the acetate (which looks gorgeous in real life) It was very difficult to get a pic.

As promised a couple of pics from my beautiful Daughters Birthday party. It was such a fab and tiring day. First all the girls had their hair curled, nails painted and of course little gems were added!

Lol....i love this pic of her stuffing her face with a burger!

We eat pizza, mini cheese burgers and tons of cake!!! then the big surprise, the Limo...Antonia didn't know about the Limo so when it arrived she was leaping in the air.

The Limo service was fantastic, they even added (plastic) champagne glasses and pink lemonade!

Mo Manning Easel card & Candy Cane stitching

Good morning all, Would you like an update on the En-suite? Lol well the plasterer came yesterday to repair the ceiling and wall in the en-suit and he's here again right now making allot of noise?!?!? Im soooo fed up of Builders, plumbers and plasterers right now, I just want my house back to normal. On top of all that going wrong the charger unit on my Laptop has broken so i have to wedge a bit of paper in to hold it in place and the Turbo has gone on my 11 month old car! not a great week but im sure next week is going

to be so much better (it couldn't possible get any worse)

Close up of my Candy Cane stitching

Firstly, Candy Cane stitching! Lol if you enlarge the photo you will see what i mean. I used a dark pink thread in my Bobbin carrier and a white thread on top, using a slightly smaller stitch when i sewed onto my C/S it automatically pulls through the thread that's underneath, and hey presto! it looks like a Candy Cane.

The whole card has then been covered in Stampin Up! Champagne Mist shimmer paint using a sponge dauber. Its full of sparkle but difficult to get a good photo. Hopefully you can see the shimmer on the image in the close up. Carnival Tickets have been decorated with Pretty in Pink Ink and an SU! snowflake stamp.

Good afternoon peeps, sorry this is quick today. Its been World War 3 here. Last night we had a flood which originated from our new en-suite. Its the first time we have used the new shower....well OMG the plumber hadn't connected the pipe work together properly and last night we were the proud owners of a new water feature in our Dining room. The water from the hot tape poured through the ceiling and light fittings. It blew the electric which thankfully is back on now but we still have no water on as yet.

This is a pic of my dining room ceiling, its about a 24" square hole that had to be cut away to make it safe as most of this had already covered the new carpet that was only fitted 3 weeks ago

This is the hole in the new en-suite wall so the plumber could get to the pipe work.

and im still smiling!!!!

On a lighter note Lol Today is the start of a new Quixotic Challenge

Ive had this clipboard kicking around for a couple of years and thought it would be a nice item to have in my craft room to hold my important stuff. As you can see not allot on there yet

sorry the pics are a bit pants but I took them when we had no lighting

I have used my fav Kit from Echo Park A walk in the park, I found a couple of pieces of cork which came in useful for the pin board and some wooden pegs which i decorated with a strip of Echo Park dp.

Sorry i have to go now, there's a builder, plumber and electrician here all wanting Coffee!

I bet you didn't even realise i was gone Lol We have had the best time in Majorca. I wanted to cry when it was time to come home. The kids loved seeing Thomson the Dog again this year, the weather was gorgeous, sooo hot! I managed to read both my books while i was there, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn, Fantastic book, a must read!

Anyway, Today were off to my Cousins wedding and staying over night at the hotel, figured we might as well make a weekend out of it.

This week it was my turn to design the sketch at Sketch Saturday. Im no computer wiz im afraid so its a hand drawn sketch from me this week. I cannot wait for her birthday party, she doesn't know what were doing yet but i know she'll love it. Antonia and her friends will be having a manicure and hair done in the morning, Pink Limousine to the Cinema and then after to the restaurant for a surprise party! I hope i can get a manicure in too : )

Oh my, when I saw the new Kraftin Kimmie stamps, i knew i had to have then. They are my favourite ever! I couldnt wait to get Goldilocks inked up and on a card. I thought the new Basic grey Olivia d/p was 'Just Right' for this image. The Viva decor Glitter liner is GORGEOUS, sooooo easy to use. I loved the effect i got when basically using it as it says on the tube, As a liner! I am in love with it. There's certainly a few more cards coming over the next few weeks using this technique

Good morning all, Have you ever heard of the saying 'when It rains It pours'?

Yesterday the work started on re-doing our On-suite entirely, So its now stripped and ready to be tiled, One problem....the tiles still haven't turned up and the Tile shop are now promising they will be delivered for Thursday. They also promised that they would be here last Saturday, Monday and be delivered for this morning. To make matters, we have had a slow leak from the pipework running under the floor boards upstairs (which we didnt know about) and the flooring needs to be re done too, adding another huge expense to our tiny on-suite being re done. arrrgggghhhhhhh.......

I have left this one quite plain and simple because i want to be able to see the numbers embossed into the d/p. It didn't photograph very well so i inked up a sponge dauber and ran it over the embossed numbers.

What a glorious week were having here in the UK eh?! Ive been to the gym today and am very proud of myself for burning of 1000 calories! Ive lost another 8lb in the last 4 weeks bringing my total weight lost over the ;last 9 weeks to 19 lbs.......Im giving myself a pat on the back for that lol So im almost in a size 12 now, my aim to be a size 10 asap!

Good morning everyone, sorry i didn't manage to get my Clean and Simple card posted yesterday and ive still forgotten to take the pic duh! I will do it at some point this week. Im off out with my Mommy today, were going into Lichfield for a nosey round the shops and then for Lunch, The weather is gorgeous again so hopefully a bit of sunbathing and reading in the garden when we get back

I wanted to get a better pic, especially of the sand and flip flops but as usually I forgotted!

I printed onto white c/s using 2 different blues from Pink Petticoat so that when it was torn i would have a white core for the waves

Isnt she just so adorable! I really enjoys colouring her, I hope Christy does more images of her. I just realised she hasn't got a name. Oh she's far to cute not to have a name, Im going to call her Antonia after my Daughter, it looks just like her with those big piggy tales lol

( we'll call him Jack) lol

Good morning all, Today i have my Sketch Saurday DT card to show you.

As we have split the team up at Sweet Stampin to give everyone a break every other week, I didn't need to make a card for today BUT.....Sweet Stampin have a Clean & Simple challenge on and since finding Susan's beautiful blog im a C&S addict lol So if your in need of a little inspiration for the Clean & Simple challenge Susan Will be the one to give it to you! Last night i came across a Fantastic Site called Embellish Magazine, They have colour combo challenges, this weeks challenge is to use a Label shape which can be a border punch nestie etc, you also have to follow the colour combo which is Brown, Coral and Yellow. Feeling quite inspired and creative here's what i came up with last night

Flower was made using a Woodware Jumbo punched out 5 times, scrunched up and a huge Button placed in the centre

Stampin up card stock- Choc chip, So Saffron, Cameo Coral, Confetti White, So saffron 5/8" ribbon

I stamped the Polka dots with PTI vintage cream onto Kraft card stock

This time i stamped the Turning a new leaf in Vintage cream onto the Choc chip c/s and made the flower using Apricot Appeal

Sorry this is late, I was out all day yesterday and night and have just got up to do this post, Im going back to bed after lol I didnt get in till 2.30 this morning......Im sooooo tiered!

I had as always a Fab day with my friend Lin, I love her so much.....(and i know she's reading this) mawah

I was very good and only spent a little bit of money in the craft shop, and then Discovered that she also runs Sewing classes. I took the liberty of booking myself and my mommy into her next workshop lol I still haven't told my Mom yet but she's retired now and Im sure she'll love the day out!

Woop Woop Sketch Saturday is 2 years old today! Isn't that amazing. Before i joined the girls on the SS DT I participated in the challenges almost every week. Good morning, I hope you are doing well and if you are in the UK enjoying the weather. Its almost sunbathing weather isnt it?! I'm out in about 10 mins to take Jack Football training and then im off to the Gym! Yes i have kept on going although the amount of times ive seen a Mars bar and thought that one more wont hurt Lol

Ive now lost 11 pounds in weight In 5 weeks, but have already noticed to see the weight loss slowing up now and im needing to work allot harder to see any change, Im still in a size 14 even though ive lost weight but my clothes do fit me better!

Another week has gone by, My Mojo slowly picking up ( i think ) I have been very busy again this week, its our year end and im still working on that so not much time for crafting again, I cannot wait to get the next couple of weeks out of the way so crafting time will resume back to normal!

Today i have another Phindy make for you, This week we are challenging you to create something

Camo ribbon - making memories

Stapler, sewing machine & coloured in copics with a small amount of pencil

Fabulous challenge as i actually do like making Male cards these days.

Its my Nephews birthday June 5th so this was made for him in mind, he's 19, about to start University and loves he's ipod and phone. This image couldn't be more perfect for him.

Ive had a couple of emails asking me how i attach the brads to the corners after i have deone the stitching. DONT punch a hole in the corners as that will also cut through your thread.... After you have finished sewing onto your c/s gently push the brad through the hole closest to the corner that has already been made by your sewing machine. That's it, that's how i do it without cutting through the thread.

Tiddly Tuesday is here and that means another Tiddly Inks challenge! yeah............

This week we are challenging you to create your own Designer Paper. Yep sorry my little cupcakes but NO designer papers allowed! I found this one quite an easy challenge (even with my MOJO being MIA) I pulled out my Fabulous Papertrey Ink stamps which made this challenge a breeze!
